We got a really good deal on an ocean front efficiency at this hotel through website. We found the room to be all we needed. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We did have just a few problems. Our bathtub was draining slowly, but this was quickly taken care of by a great maintenance worker- Dale. We did not have a phone that worked the entire time of our stay. It is my understanding it was determined that to get the phone functional, they would have to do a lot of work in the wall jack. They knew the phone wasn't working when they booked the room. However, they did offer to move us to a different room, but since we only had one more day left of our vacation, we didn't want to uproot. If you are looking for a lazy river to lie in your innertube and read, this is not the place for you. This hotel hosts a lot of families with children and they basically took over the lazy river with running, jumping in the water etc. There is one computer on the first floor and at times there was quite a wait to get a turn. A couple more computers would be nice. The first day we had not gotten any room cleaning until we had asked a couple of times and then it was after 6:00 p.m. After that,however, service was fine. Even with these small complaints, we really did enjoy our stay here. Loved having an elevator! There is no parking except for undloading. You must park across the street in a building, but it is free.

In July 09, we stayed at the Best Western The Carolinian at Myrtle Beach, SC, and learned that my wife's father had passed away. The staff at the front desk were so compassionate and caring. I do not know who they were but I am very thankful that they were on duty. It is a pleasure to stay at a place with such fine ladies as this. It was on Saturday, July 11, around 9am. Keep up the great work.

There is no complaints from me about this hotel. They went above and beyond for me. When I first arrived to check it, the first thing they asked me was: "would you like a free upgrade?" I received a beach front balcony room....Awesome View. Before I booked this room, I of course read the reviews, and one negative one I saw a few times was "I have to walk across the street to a parking garage, and I have kids, blah, blah, blah" But they wouldn't of had to worry about that if they forked out $8 and had the valet park the car for them. Problem solved. ha ha ha....But awesome hotel, I would defently stay again.......Right on the beach, can't get better than that.................Matter of fact, me and my friend are talking about coming back next year and using the same hotel.

The staff is so friendly and eager to please. The rooms are clean with a perfect view of the beach. The location is convenient to Broadway at the Beach among other attractions. We love this hotel so much that we have already booked more stays. This was our first stay at the Best Western Carolinian, but it will not be the last. I would highly recommend this hotel and online travel website had a better rate than other sites and even the hotel itself.
